"For it is in giving that we receive." ~Saint Francis of Assisi
Join me and together, let's change the world for thousands of children.
The funds we raise will help UNICEF to complete the Lega and Yelam Gej multi-village solar-powered water systems in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia.
You can fundraise with me, donate now and join this movement to create a fitter planet.
"We make a living by what we get; we make a life by what we give."
I've always wanted to help and to make a difference, and over the years, I've either had absolutely no expendable cash, or I've been very selective about which causes I support.
Whilst there are so many causes now that deserve support, how do you choose which one? And if I take it a step back from that, it's even questioning yourself why give in the first place.
It is better to give than to receive. Scientific research provides compelling data to support the anecdotal evidence that giving is a powerful pathway to personal growth and lasting happiness. Helping others may just be the secret to living a life that is not only happier but also healthier, wealthier, more productive, and meaningful.
Why I do what I do? Because I truly believe that everyone deserves to be happy and healthy.
Why UNICEF? As an organisation that has been around since 1946 and makes a difference to children all over the world. They help children grow up happy and healthy.
Why Workout for Water? I find it unbelievable that in 2019, water and sanitation-related diseases such as diarrhoea are one of the biggest causes of death for children under five around the world. UNICEF has helped nearly 14 million people in 2015 get access to clean water, and provided more than 11 million people with basic toilets. Right now they’re working in East Africa and Syria to make sure families have access to clean, safe water.
I'll be posting updates regularly. In the mean time, if you care to support me, the people of Lega and Yelam Gej villages in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia will thank you ❤️
