My name is Roget Soukou . When I was a child growing up in Togo in west-Africa, the first nonprofit that I've heard about was UNICEF through the work it was doing by providing access to education for the poorest part of my native country. Although, I was never a beneficiary of the work UNICEF did, I've held this organization in high regards from an early age. So some time after I became a LesMills instructor, I set out to donate on a monthly basis a part of my earning from teaching at 24HourFitness to organizations I care about and of course UNICEF was the first to make my list. On occasion I have donated my whole monthly earnings from 24HourFitness to nonprofit organizations and announced it to my class. On another occasion I have asked my members about nonprofits they care about and I donated to those as well. I wanted them to know that they are part of something much bigger than themselves, something bigger than all of us. As a result some members have been inspired to participate in donating to some great organization as well including UNICEF.
This drive to help others is from a personal and my deep believe that our life purpose lies at the convergence point between what you do for a living, Our Skill (My current job), what we do that makes us feel appreciated, Our Service (Serving my kids/ love one and my causes) & What we do to enhance the life of others, Our Passion (me Inspire people through LessMills).
I'm donating my whole September earns from 24hoursfiteness to WorkOutForWater and I will add to it you make it a $500.00 donation. So please join to donate and help us change the world for thousands of children.
The funds we raise will help UNICEF to complete the Lega and Yelam Gej multi-village solar-powered water systems in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia.
You can fundraise with us, donate now and join our movement to create a fitter planet. Every USD$450 we raise can provide 12 children a lifetime of clean water.
